The 60watt Magsafe charger features a magnetic connector that allows you to plugin your cables easy and quick and it will disconnect if it experiences undue strain on the cord. It's to protect the charging port from damage and defending the cable from fraying over time. This charger works with 1st generation Magsafe Macbooks only.
